There are many different car owner clubs in South Africa, and if you have the right car and you’re passionate enough to join, you could enjoy several unique benefits. Some of the most popular car clubs in SA are the Alfa Romeo club, Porsche club, and Suzuki car club.

Below, we explore the benefits of each of these car clubs.

As the name suggests, a car club is a gathering of people that gather together with the same car brand, model or similar car types. Car clubs usually go for breakfast runs on Sundays, certain track events and concourse events (which involves having the cleanest showroom vehicles). It’s a gathering of like-minded people, where you can share your knowledge and unforgettable experiences with your car. These clubs are also great for sharing advice with other members of the same club.

The Alfa Romeo Club is based on breakfast runs, track events and is very popular with concourse events with many prizes to be won, the Club has an application fee of R50 and a full annual fee of R400. If you’re interested in joining the Alfa Romeo Club SA, click this link to register.

The Porsche Club of South Africa usually involves track events and breakfast runs, Porsche’s SA club has an annual fee of R1500 for first-year members and R1000 fee for a Porsche Club renewal membership. Go to the South African Porsche club website to enter.

The Suzuki 4x4 Club does regular off-road trips to some of the best 4x4 routes in South Africa.

To join the club, there is a driver fee of R800 and a passenger fee of R500. Click this link to join the Suzuki Motorclub or 4x4 club in SA.

Most car clubs require you to have a driver license and proof of the correct vehicle for the club. For example, you cannot join a Mini SA club with a Fiat.

If you’re a big car enthusiast and like to express your feelings about cars, then definitely yes. Cars are a great way for people to interact and socialise with each other. When you join a club, you learn about new car technologies and share some great experiences with other car club members.
