Wild about Whiskey

With the second largest whiskey menu in the world, you know that you’re in for a treat! Wild about Whiskey offers 45 bespoke whiskey tasting menus as well as a few select gin, brandy, rum, cognac and tequila tastings if that’s more your style. Over and above this, you’re also more than welcome to make yourself at home at their bar and pick and choose between the many, many different spirits that they have on offer.

Highland Gate Gold & Trout Estate

If there’s one thing that Dullstroom is well known for, it’s their fly fishing. Highland Gate is the ideal place to pop in to learn the ropes as they have three dams (one in stream and two out of stream) and their trout is stocked biannually. If fly fishing isn’t really your cup of tea, why not have a leisurely lunch at the wonderful Flycatcher restaurant that overlooks the pristine Ernie Els Signature golf course.

Dullstroom Bird of Prey and Rehabilitation Centre

With the main aim of educating the public about raptors and how to preserve them, the Dullstroom Bird of Prey and Rehabilitation Centre offers some really fun and interesting activities for all ages. The flight displays are a feast for the eyes and you’ll have to opportunity to get up close and personal with these magnificent creatures. You can also stroll through the enclosures where you’ll learn about the history of all of the birds. Also available on site is a kiddie’s play area as well as fly fishing in conjunction with Mavungana Fly Fishing Centre.

Dullstroom Riding Centre

Another great option if you’re keen on the great outdoors is horseback riding, and the Dullstroom Riding Centre is your best bet for breathtaking vistas and experienced guides. With routes for both beginner and advanced riders as well as pony rides for the kiddies, there really is something for everyone.

The Royal Coachman Restaurant

If you think you can’t enjoy some fine dining in small town Dullstroom, we’re here to tell you that that’s absolutely not the case. The Royal Coachman mixes traditional Italian food with their own streak of creativity resulting in an absolute feast for your taste buds. It’s well worth booking a dinner here.
